Used Fender Precision Bass 1979 Natural w/OHSC
This Precision bass absolutely encapsulates the vibe of 70s Fender tonally and visually. The natural ash is beautiful and heavy as were many of the instruments of the time. These have a really special thump and mid range growl to them. The serial number on this one dates to 78 but the pot codes are for 1979 so we're putting it up as a 1979.
Condition: "Very good". The bass shows minor signs of age / wear and tear but is a great example of a 79 P-bass. It is missing the bridge and pickup covers, as well as the thumb rest. There are holes drilled for all of them. The pickguard has some heavy scratches/pick wear and there are light dings on the body and neck. The body above the pickguard also has some pick scratches. The first few frets in the cowboy "chord" area have flat spots starting to form but still ring out / play comfortably.
