Used Gibson Les Paul Bass Standard 1992 Ebony w/OHSC
This is a very special Les Paul Bass that is extremely difficult to find information on. From what we've gathered, it is not the typical LPB-2 or 3 you'd normally see from this era. Based on limited information, the flower pot headstock inlay indicates this is a limited edition export model intended for the Japanese market, as for how true that is, we can't say for certain. The one thing we know is it's different, unique, and very much it's own thing. It stands out tonally when compared to a Fender P or Jazz and still differs from the regular Gibson EB line-up.
Condition: Between "Good" and "Very good". The bass has some parts swapped. The tuners have been changed for Schallers. The bridge was switched to a Hipshot. The Humbucker rings have been switched for chromed out ones. Most of the original parts are included except for the tuners. The bass does have tooling marks on the fretboard. There are general polishing swirls evident in the Ebony finish which brutally reveals all marks. The back did have a sticker that had been removed. There are some scratch marks on the bottom back bout. Overall the instrument has some fine checking which is very common on 90s Gibsons. You see on the back of the headstock, neck, and front / back of the body. Lastly, the side dot markers have been enlarged with what appears to be white out.
