Used Travis Bean TB2000 Natural Fretless Conversion w/HSC
This is a very heavily modified TB-2000 that has gone through a fretless Conversion + at a point in time a lefty conversion. There is truly something amazing about an instrument that has gone through so many forms to fit the needs of whichever owner who had it at the time.
Condition: "Fair". This thing has had a lot of work / modifications. The Bass is well worn and well loved.
Condition notes
- Fretless conversion. The fretboard hangs over the edge of the aluminum ever so slightly on one side and not enough on the other. It is an Ebony fretboard supposedly installed by Tommy Doyle. The fretboard has been shimmed for proper height.
- At one point a Lefty conversion.
- For said Lefty conversion, one of the horns was chopped down and an extra strap buttonhole was put on the opposite side. This means the guitar has had some finish work as well.
- The original bridge has been replaced. At one point the body was routed with a dip to fit a badass style, it has since been fitted with an original replacement.
- Pots, knobs, and toggle switch are all non-original. (CTS pots, Sprauge caps)
- All the tuners are Schaller, one is replaced though as it has actual branding on it.
- One strap button is non-original
- Nut is shimmed.
- Finish has plenty of wear, checking, dings, and dents.
