Abernethy Guitars Sonic Empress Chambered No. 203 Lightly-Aged Trans TV Yellow/Korina w/HSC
Once again our pal Justin Abernethy knocks us on our ass with yet another delivery of true masterworks. Relic Music is Obsessed and thrilled to be the east coast spot for Abernethy Guitars. These brilliant, individual one-off sonic works of art are handmade in Guadalupe, California; one at a time.
The Sonic Empress is the shape that our bud Justin Abernethy is probably most well-known for; and with good reason. It absolutely rules. This one is no exception...
First of all, KORINA!!!! And REALLY Nice Korina at that. Korina Body, Quartersawn Korina Neck, Bound Royal Blackwood Board....each piece is more impressive than the last. We could stare at the back of this guitar all day. Second, the feel of this guitar is just so extraordinary we can't put it down. Third, these dirt buckers from Gemini are really something else. Think the best-sounding JBs you've ever heard. This one, like all others, is a lifer and an absolute winner.
