BilT Relevator LS "Marauder" Wood Wire Volts Special Rosewood Series w/Curtis Novak Marauder Pickups & HSC

When our buddies at BilT told us they were rolling up to Wood Wire Volts with "Something Special", I just figured, "well, yeah...everything they make is special!" Then when I got there and saw *literally* one of each of their models made completely of luxurious Rosewood, I was like...ok....somehow you've all outdone yourselves....again. 

This one is special, special, special. First off, it's an even 9lbs which for an all rosewood guitar with all of the plates, vibrato, etc. on there. That in and of itself is an achievement. But man oh man does this thing feel great. And play great. And Sound great. 

A few points about this one aside from the obviousness of the beauty and insane quality of the rosewood used...

1. The Mustang Vibrato is a sleeper for all of my JM/Jag Vibrato fans out there. Some of us, and it doesn't really matter who, but some of us even think its better (more fluid, smoother, more an extension of your hand, more immediacy in the vibrato, etc.).
2. The Pickups. They are Curtis Novak Marauder Pickups. Curtis had the occasion to examine and study the original Fender Prototype Marauder Pickups and these are faithful recreations (with some Novak Magic, of course). We think it's safe to say that a vast majority of you reading this right now have never heard what Marauder Pickups sound like (considering how dang rare the guitars are). Think, Jag...but warmer, with more bass response, and a lot more body and harmonic richness. They are amazing.
