1964 Fender Duo-Sonic II Dakota Red
A well loved & used 1964 Duo-Sonic II. Made in the first year of production for these high quality student focused instruments when they introduced the second iteration of the model. Eventually phased out in favor of the Mustang when transitioning into the 70s’. When they revised the Duo-Sonic to include more features from the Mustang they decided to utilize the 3-way sliders that offer extra out of phase quack & tones. This is one of the full 24” scales that feels more like a Mustang & Jaguar. It is a little less cramped while offering a great spacing for complex chords. Overall this is a great player's grade instrument that certainly has its fair share of history. It's all original aside from a added ground wire and the original neck plate being replaced. The 3-way switches have been cleaned out but can still be a tad finicky.
