Used Fender Jaguar 1965 Olympic White w/OHSC
This is a 1965 Jaguar from that transitional era when Fender was purchased by CBS. The Jaguar was introduced in 1962 and went some slight variations over the years. Like all Fender models of this time, the stock option was finished in Sunburst. This is a custom color which would've had to be special ordered. It looks amazing with all its natural wear and tear, especially with the matching headstock.
Condition: "Good". The guitar has been clearly used and shows it age as expected. There is finish checking on the headstock and body. The body and neck have dings, scratches, dents, chips, etc... Some parts have been swapped *noted below*, The tort. guard has shrunk and started to curl like they all typically do.
*Notes*
- Volume pot has been swapped, new pot is a CTS from 1976. (Wiring isn't the cleanest)
- The tone cap on the Rhythm circuit got switched out at some point for an Orange Drop
- The neck stamp dates to July 1st of 1965.
- Tone pot dates to the 19th week of 1965.
- The bridge has been replaced with a newer import style which doesn't have perfect spacing so the low E is close to the edge of the fretboard in the higher register of the fretboard (original bridge is not included).
- The guitar does have the original mute though the foam / felt material is deteriorated.
- The guard has shrunk as mentioned above, this makes removing the lead circuit plate difficult and the pickups are mounted low and pretty much set where they are with how the guard covers both ends.
- An additional string tree has been added to the headstock for the D and G strings
- The frets appear to have been leveled at some point.
- Alder body
- Maple neck
- Veneer Rosewood fretboard
- '65 Slim "C" shape neck - Profile B
