Used Gibson Century 6 Lap Steel Salmon
This is a super rare Century 6 Lap-steel in the Salmon Blue finish that became available in 1951. This example is certainly a player's grade. The original P-90 esc pickup is gone and has been replaced with a Tom Brantley rewound Shobud pickup from 2021. The tuners are not original either & the ink stamp serial has worn off. Fortunately the pots, caps, & wiring inside the cavity are all original. This is all reflected in the price of the instrument as well as the condition overall. It has checking, dings, scratches, wear & tear, finish yellowing, etc... Still for someone hunting one of these down to use and love, it's a great piece at a much more affordable price.
The Gibson logo still looks strong and paired with the blue finish and floral appointments it's a really beautiful, cool, & interesting instrument.
Controls: 1 Volume & 2 tones
The lap steel has been tested and functions entirely like it should. Unfortunately no case was included, but we will pack it extremely well. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
