Used Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman 1963 Natural w/OHSC
Condition: "Good". Vintage Gretsch guitars always require work. Anyone familiar with them / interested in them is aware of the binding rot problem these experience. This one has had some work which is listed below. Outside of this, it shows its age for sure. There are dings, scratches, wear and tear, etc...
Condition notes
- This guitar has been rebound. There is a lip on the body where the binding meets, this isn't uncommon.
- The guitar has been re-fretted quite well, the fretboard looks like a replacement with the original inlays.
- The neck looks like it has been reset
- The control cavity plate located beneath the comfort pad has a second set of holes underneath in the body. Some one more than likely screwed it back down without aligning it properly.
- Original bridge / base have been replaced and are not included.
- Due to binding off-gassing, the gold Hardware is heavily aged.
- Body has general checking.
- Mutes don't work great and more than likely never did.
