Relic Music is beyond proud be a new partner of Dean Costello Audio. Dean's amps are highly regarded both in the inner circles of those lucky enough to own one as well as those who have only seen/heard them from afar. We've been worshiping at the alter for quite a while now and are having a real "pinch me" moment now that they've started to land.
The Templates is DC's ultimate pedal platform amp. This one is 120w of clean headroom glory. It's freaking unreal.

Templates is a loud, clean amp that works good with pedals. The goal was to make a circuit that's as simple as possible and easy to dial in with a very large range of EQ from brite to bassy due to its Brite and Dark inputs and 3-way EQ shift switch. The minimalist design allows the guitar and pedals to pair with a big power amp as directly as possible, making Templates an ideal pedal platform. Rather than coloring the tone, Templates is an open palette.
Brite input is chimey with a more aggressive “brite and tite” pick attack and has a responsive and direct feel while the Dark input is more round and deep sounding with a looser response and softer attack. These two clean sounds lend themselves well to distortion, fuzz and overdrive pedals as well where Brite input can be used for styles where more note articulation and crisp attack are needed like faster or more technical metal, punk, etc., while the Dark input with its more bass-heavy, looser feel works good for doom, sludge, noise rock, etc.
Tone controls Bass, Middle, and Treble are pretty straightforward and are designed to act independently of each other so adjusting one knob is not a compromise of other settings. The EQ shift switches the frequency response of the tone controls up or down if more highs or lows are desired with the center setting being the stock sound of the amp. Clean sounds to light break up can be dialed in with the Gain knob while Volume and Presence sets the overall loudness and frequency response of the power amp.
Back panel has two parallel speaker jacks, a 3-way impedance selector switch for 4, 8 or 16 ohm operation, and a line out with volume knob.
