This is a Benson Monarch done up in the now discontinued Pinstripe Tweed covering. Earlier variants with this Pinstripe Tweed had issues where the glue would cause staining which would be visible as large orange / brown patches. Based on the later serial plate style this is one with the improved techniques for the adhesive and has very limited staining in very few areas that are difficult to notice. This particular example still has an oxblood grill above the control panel. It truly is a striking looking amplifier.
The Monarch is a 15-watt tube Head and was the first design offered by Benson. It offers a great clean sound that turns to some truly harmonically rich grit when you cause it to break up.
