In delay you have delay time & feedback to create dense textural trails to compliment the pad reverb. The bit crusher mangles an octave above/below/anywhere in between with sample reduction for lonesome robot communication a million light years away. The dark star also features a momentary hold that will infinitely sustain whatever the reverb may be currently singing.
