The DOD Meatbox is a classic effect from the 1990s that is very well known and associated with bass. It's a subharmonic synth pedal that makes the room absolutely rumble. The Meatbox adds so much heft and thickened tone that is really unlike anything else, hence why the originals are so expensive now.
