Used Ampeg Reverberocket R12RB 1966 w/Cover AS IS - Tube Combo Amplifier

This has to be one of the cleanest 1960s' blue checkboard Ampeg amplifiers anyone in the shop has seen. It is one of the earliest amplifiers to feature a on-board reverb and has that classic clean Ampeg tone that can become gritty when pushed. It puts out a fair bit of volume and the reverb that they labelled a "dimension" has a very unique spacious sound that differs from your typical Fender. These are still some wonderful sleeper amps built locally in Linden, New Jersey. Based on the serial number located on the tube chart the amp dates to 1966.

  • 18 watts
  • Tubes (all original Ampeg by Sylvania): 6SL7 (x3), 6SN7, 7591 (x2)
  • 3 inputs: Guitar, Accordion, & Mic
  • Controls: Volume & Tone
  • Echo Control for Dimension
  • Tremolo Controls: Speed & Intensity (currently non-functioning)
  • Loaded with a USA made Jensen C12-R Syntox-6 Ceramic Speaker (code dates it to the 6th week of 1964)
  • Includes the original footswitch & cover
This amplifier is being sold as is. There are 2 main issues we'd like to mention. First, is that the vibrato circuit is either extremely faint or non-functioning which in our experience can happen with Ampegs over time. Secondly is that the jewel light is out. Everything else functions as intended.

This is a consignment piece here in the shop meaning all sales are final!
