This one is a well loved & used players grade 1997 ES-335 with some great figuring on the top. So lets start with why it's players grade...It has a head stock repair that has been very well done, the truss rod does have some thread exposed but still has movement, much of the hardware has been swapped for gold aside from the jack and ABR-1 adjustments, there are plenty of dings, scratches, wear, etc... It's players grade 100% through and through. We're not trying to talk the guitar down either, just want to be as transparent as possible.
Now that being said and gotten out of the way, this is an excellent piece for someone looking for an ES they can beat around, modify, or utilize as an excellent slide guitar. It has locking Grover tuners that function great and still retains the original 57 classic pickup set that many of us know and love. There is something extremely special about an ES-335 that makes it feel so resonant and responsive to your playing. It currently is setup with 10s and does play well in its current state.
This guitar is definitely players grade. It's got quite a bit of wear / dings / etc... There has been a head stock repair done by Dave Petillo here in NJ. It's still visible but done so in a way that still feels like a smooth transition. It is a consignment piece here in the shop meaning all sales are final.
